What is Soul Midwifery?

Soul Midwifery embraces the understanding that dying is not simply a medical event—it is a deeply human, emotional and spiritual transition. Every person deserves to be met with dignity, tenderness and unconditional compassion.

My practice is guided by the 12 Principles of Soul Midwifery, which are founded on deep listening, compassionate presence, respect, trust and the belief that every individual should be supported in a way that honours their values, choices and life story. These principles encourage us to create a peaceful space where fear can soften, conversations can unfold naturally, and each person feels truly seen, heard and valued.

I offer gentle support that nurtures the whole person—mind, body and spirit—including:

• A compassionate, calming presence
• Deep listening without judgement
• Emotional and spiritual companionship
• Reiki healing and gentle energy support
• Guided meditation and breath awareness
• Relaxation and comforting rituals
• Sound healing where appropriate
• Creating peaceful, sacred spaces
• Legacy work and meaningful conversations
• Support with fears, worries and unfinished conversations
• Guidance and reassurance for family members and carers
• Compassionate support before, during and after death

As a holistic wellbeing practitioner, I also bring together my experience in Reiki, bereavement counselling, breathwork, meditation and sound healing to offer comfort that is always led by the wishes and needs of the individual.

If you would like to find out more about Soul Midwifery or discuss how I may be able to support you or someone you love, I welcome you to get in touch for a confidential conversation.

What to Expect

I believe there is profound healing in simply being present. Sometimes words are needed. Sometimes silence is enough. Sometimes holding a hand speaks louder than anything else.

My intention is to help bring a sense of peace, comfort and reassurance during one of life's most sacred transitions, ensuring that no one has to walk this path alone. Whether support is needed for a few hours, a few weeks or over a longer period, I offer a compassionate presence for both those nearing the end of life and the people who love them.

What is the Difference Between Soul Midwife & Death Doula?

In essence they are very similar, a Soul Midwife, sometimes known as a Death Doula, provides gentle, non-medical support for people approaching the end of life and those who care for them. By offering companionship, comfort and a calm, reassuring presence, they help create space for meaningful conversations, cherished memories and personal wishes, ensuring that each person feels seen, heard and supported every step of the way.

"To witness another soul with love, without judgement and without fear, is one of the greatest gifts we can offer."
