Our ‘Blissful Reset’ Well-being Retreat will be a restorative 3 hours of self care and deep relaxation at the beautiful garden yoga studio in Harpenden. Designed to reset your nervous system and nourish your mind, body and soul, our aim is to leave you feeling blissfully restored and recharged. Gentle Yoga/somatic movement Rituals Breathwork Sound Bath Talk on emotional self care We will focus on reducing feelings of stress and anxiety and rejuvenating your body and mind using restorative movement, release work, breath work and sound healing. This morning retreat is gently woven together in such a way to leave you in a dream-like state. Julie Greenhalgh | Wellbeing Breathwork is effective at improving your sleep, balancing your blood pressure, reducing any pent up emotions including feelings of trauma, improving your respiratory function, recharge your immune system and release stress hormones from your body. Many of feel anxious, stressed and overwhelmed. Gong/sound baths are therapeutic and meditative experiences allowing you to “bathe” in the sounds and vibrations produced by different sound healing instruments. Through these sounds and vibrations, the mind enters into a deeply meditative and relaxed state, bringing about healing on all levels of our being: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. Sound baths are an excellent way to let go of any worries and allow you to sink into a deeply serene experience. Yoga is a wonderfully gentle way to relax your body and mind and has many benefits to us mentally, emotionally and physically including releasing stress and tension and restoring balance and wellbeing. Cathy Dowden | Wellbeing Emotional self care is so important. The mind is incredibly powerful. Our thoughts shape our emotions, and our emotions influence our behaviours. Emotional self-care refers to the act of becoming aware of and identifying what you are feeling and allowing yourself to channel those feelings in a way that benefits your overall wellness. It involves nurturing, processing, and healing of our feelings so that you become the best version of yourself ultimately for yourself and then others get the best version of you. Cathy will guide you through a range of wonderful self care practices so that you can tailor yours to best suit your lifestyle. WHAT TO WEAR Your comfort is paramount so please wear clothes you can easily move in. Many wear casual gym attire. WHAT TO BRING Just yourself! I provide yoga mats, blankets and pillows. However, if you prefer to use your own, please feel free to bring them along. Payments are non-refundable and non-transferable unless the class is cancelled by Julie Greenhalgh Wellness.
